Our season finale concert program in May 26 will feature a commission and world premiere of a new multi-movement work by American composer Connor Koppin. A recent nominee for the American Prize for choral composition, Connor will be composing a piece that is a meditation on the idea of remembrance, and all the ways in which we bring those people and places that are no longer present by way of memory. It is our hope that this work will also be the focus of our first studio recording, but we need your help to make that happen. We hope you will consider making a donation today in support of that project.

COLLABORATIONS THIS SEASON!

  • We will be partnering with the Seattle Children’s for our Christmas concert program in December! Founded in 1989 a community-based program that would provide a high level of choral training and experience for interested young musicians, SCC has established itself as one of the premiere children and youth choral organizations in the region. With a number of SCC alumni on our roster, including Artistic Director David Hendrix, this collaboration is incredibly special. Evergreen will be joined by Camerata, a high school aged mixed voice ensemble, for both our 12/13 and 12/15 concerts, and singers from Evergreen will also join SCC for their December concert program, Boundless Sky, on December 14 at 5:00pm.

  • Founded this year by renowned baroque violinist Tekla Cunningham, The Seattle Bach Festival will serve the Seattle area with great performances of the masterworks of JS Bach and pearls of the Baroque. From large scale works like Oratorios, Cantatas and Passions to the chamber music and solo works, SBF will offer a portal into a world of beauty, passion, joy, learning and community. Evergreen Ensemble is thrilled to be joining SBF as their choir in residence for cantata projects in January and May of 2025, and we are already looking ahead to next season. It is a thrill and honor to be a part of this organization’s inaugural season, and we look forward to a long and generative relationship with SBF for years to come!

Here is what else your gifts will support!

  • Recital Series

We hope to launch an artist’s spotlight series this season where we can feature the individual talents of some of our incredible artists.

  • Recording Project

One of the questions we get most frequently is when we will have recordings available. We have ideas, and now just need the funding!

  • Digital Content

Help us create more beautiful and creative video content so we can share the work of Evergreen Ensemble with to the global community!

  • New Commissions

We have a growing list of composers we would love to collaborate with, and are committed to supporting the creation of new choral works.

  • Artist Fees

Evergreen is committed to paying our artists fair and equitable wages for their services, and are proud to channel the majority of our funding to that core value.

  • Admin Costs

As we continue to establish a sustainable business, we recognize the need to broaden our administrative staff to support the logistical needs of our organization.
