To the West features the world premiere of a newly commissioned, multi-movement work by Connor Koppin, written for choir and string ensemble.
The piece is a meditation on remembrance and place, and on the ways landscapes hold memory long after people and moments have passed. Drawing on texts by writers rooted in the Pacific Northwest, the work reflects on how natural spaces become witnesses to love, loss, and shared history, places where human experience and the natural world feel inseparable.

We’re beginning Season 3 with a program centered on belonging, as something we not only feel, but create and practice.
In a world that often feels uncertain or fragmented, the act of listening, breathing, and creating sound with others can bring reunion, restoration, and hope together.
The program will feature works by Rosephanye Powell, Caroline Shaw, Will Todd, Jocelyn Hagen, Kyle Pederson, Alex Berko, Stephen Paulus, and more.
